Georg's Fischerhutte Fischrestaurant in Reichenau

The fish was delicious and so were the grilled vegetables. The meat from the fish was tender and juicy and it was easy to remove from the bones. The fish was cooked perfectly. The restaurant also has some parking spaces for cars in front of the house, which means that you can also drive here directly. Otherwise it was a bit cool in the restaurant and not very well heated. I also think that you could put a little more of the side dish on the plate. If you have to pay extra for the side dish, you should at least not be stingy with it and not just put a small portion on the plate.

Disappointing. We expected great things from a fisherman who served his own catch right on the water. The waitress was not interested in advising us about my wife's crustacean allergy. Long wait. Ultimately, she could only eat fried food. The fried fish consisted almost entirely of breading. The side vegetables were overcooked. Remoulade was good, but all the fish was on top of a fatty mayonnaise that simply added a lot of fat. My trout miller was good, but the side dishes were also bad. In addition, we were billed separately for the supplement that was included in the price.

Super friendly restaurant the fish is wonderful accompanied with potato salad or vegetables both excellent. The price very good. Everything freshly prepared. Walk along the lake to get to the restaurant in 45 minutes or so, we went in October but I think it must be even better in the summer.

Quaint restaurant with fishing nets on the ceiling etc. and very nice staff. We had ordered the mixed fish platter for 2 people (50 €) and were absolutely satisfied. The amount was right, the fish was very tasty and you have a certain variety on the table. The restaurant is highly recommended. :)

We had reserved a table today for a birthday party. When we arrived the restaurant was packed. We asked the service staff for our table. "You can see it is full!" We pointed out that we had reserved not only by email but also by telephone and that we had received a confirmation. He didn't care. A large group of 30 people came. And another one will come later. If we wanted we could sit out!? !!! At eight degrees, strong wind and wet. He did not apologize and no solution was sought. That was the worst service I've had in my entire life. We only had to go. Find a table for 8 people spontaneously on October 3rd. I will never enter this shop again, absolutely not to be recommended, especially during the Corona period!

Food was mediocre and very large portion. Service could be more friendly. We waited a while to be attended to and then 30-40 minutes for the food (we ordered the chef’s recommended fish plate for two.

Ate there 4 years ago and it was really good. Ate there again in September of this year and it was unfortunately only a mass production and the taste was really not good. The cutlery in Corona times open to everyone in the 10rr pack at the place ... a shame, because with the beautiful place and the rustic ambience Georgs Fischerhütte could be a great place ...

There is probably no Corona there, the table was washed with a cloth that had probably been used 20 other tables before and smelled accordingly. With small children we had wet wipes with us and could help. Cutlery is already on the table in a large basket !! Food and price are disproportionate, far too expensive for the service. Salad was anything but "fresh from the Reichenau". In addition, two small children waited over an hour for the food ... The terrace looks inviting, if you take a closer look, you notice that cleanliness is not a priority here, the toilets have already been criticized extensively ...

My wife and I are on the e-bike from our apartment in Konstanz Georgs Fischerhütte cycled. We wanted to eat a fish dish from Lake Constance. Unfortunately, all dishes were no longer available. We got pikeperch fillet recommended with parsley potatoes. Shattered, half raw material was delivered Fillet with parsley potatoes in which black sprouts could still be seen. A side dish price of 4.30 euros was charged for the unsightly potatoes raised. Side dishes are part of every normal dish. We paid 51 euros for both dishes and a drink. We cannot recommend this fisherman's hut.

Today we visited Georg's Fischerhütte full of anticipation for a nice family dinner. The price-performance ratio is acceptable. The food was delicious, but the portions may be a bit small in relation to the price. Unfortunately, there are mainly points deducted because of the poor service. We had reserved a table that we had to look for ourselves because the waitress was too bad to show us our seat. After we asked another waitress for help with finding a seat, we were told that we should please contact someone else. From then on, we didn't feel really welcome anymore. At the table, too, we were mostly ignored and approached rather irritably as soon as we wanted to use the service. It was only about the request to take our order - without any special requests, of course.

Reichenau's fishing hut number 1 !! Definitely worth stopping by here. Bicycle parking spaces directly at the house, nice reception. We only drank 2 Spezi, it wasn't a problem either. Card is richly filled, funny presentation. Toilets are clean. The service was very friendly. A recommendation for all cyclists who want to take a break.

Unfortunately, it was a disappointing evening. We drove to Georg's Fischerhütte based on a good Google rating and the first impression was perfectly fine. The restaurant was well attended and appears to be popular. Unfortunately, bad service, over 70 minutes of waiting time, dirty toilets and very high prices spoiled the evening. The fish was satisfactory, even if the side dishes were skimpy. Really not recommended.

We were there twice now and both times unfortunately not convinced. The fish platter for 2 was okay, but too expensive for the price compared to other restaurants in the area. The crispy fish pearls with potato salad were unfortunately way too dry. The drunken whitefish were very good. The toilets were underground from the cleanliness. There is no changing table. But it was offered to change in the restaurant. The previously reserved table was in the blazing sun at over 30 degrees. All in all, we said we don't have to come back and rather try other locations.

Interesting, harmonious atmosphere, jagged service. Unfortunately, the men's room stank strongly of urine and the towel dispenser was empty. The prices for food are steep. Over € 4 for side dishes is simply too much! Mainly because the basic dishes are already rather high at an average of € 20.

Unfortunately, the very nice ambience and the great view couldn't keep up with the food. The waiters were overwhelmed with a few guests, there were long waiting times, an ordered salad was missing completely, the fried fish was cold and the waiter tried to sell us potato wedges as fries. All in all, very expensive fun because a food truck could have been faster and probably tastier. The only reply to our friendly complaint was: "I only take the food outside". I'm not even starting to talk about the sanitary facilities at this point. It's a shame.

Georg Fischer Hütte on the island of Reichenau is very beautiful and quiet. The food is good. Unfortunately the tartar sauce for the fish is convenience food and the sanitary facilities are a joke for the price level

Large quantity, good quality. We ordered the fish platter for two since that’s pretty much what we could understand from the all German menu. Fish was good. Salad was not super fresh. It’s a nice restaurant if you are already in the area, I wouldn’t make a special trip to see the island or the restaurant though. #jinnaeatstheworld

The location is beautiful, close to the water. There is a lake view from some tables on the terrace. The various fish dishes that we ordered were tasty and the portions generous. There is a star deduction for the price: Price-performance is not quite in balance. The two of us were quickly a total of 50 euros with one drink each. There is another star deduction for the service: The service was a bit cold and could be more courteous. There is a star deduction because of the sanitary facilities. The cleanliness, especially in the sanitary facilities, leaves something to be desired. With investments in the sanitary area, the service and the adjustment of the price level, the restaurant would be highly recommended.

Nice place but, in my opinion, a little expensive. Lake fish is certainly not as tasty as sea fish but, all in all, it should be tried ... only once.

The service was great, the staff were so friendly and kind, the food was delicious, fresh, and prepared perfectly, and the price was right as well. High quality in a relaxing environment. Must for fish lovers

Very nice location, the food was delicious, the staff was very friendly. When ordering, we were also advised that the side dishes cost extra, which was fine for us, as we had previously checked the Internet. The sanitary facilities could use a renovation (therefore only 4 stars), but that was secondary for us as we came for the fish. All in all very good and also recommended because of the top location.

Cosy atmosphere by the lake, delicious fish and chicken not to mention the local vegetables. The personnel was most friendly and in a funny mood. Will definitely return :)
